It took me a lot of courage to be as transparent as I can to you so that you can see whether being a musician is a good side hustle for you or not.

Also, I’ve been doing music since 2010 so my rates are definitely not as low as a new comer in the industry.

With that being said, let’s dive in!

In November 2024, I earned a total revenue of SGD7290.00 with just performing for music alone before expenses. Yes, it was a crazy month and I’m so thankful for all my clients and friends who engaged my band for their events.

This is a combination of my regular pub performances, substituting my fellow musician friends at their pub performances as well as performing at public and private events.

I did a total of 19 shows for November 2024.

13 Pub Appearances and 6 Events if you want to break it down.

I also did a combined number of 49 Sets of Live Music Performance in November 2024 which brings the average cost for my set to be SGD148.78. Each set is 45mins long.

If I were to go a bit further to determine how much it cost to hire me per hour, the total amount that I can value myself will be at SGD198.37/hr.

That’s if someone were to hire me to speak or to appear at an event per hour la.
